Some time ago Jordy Graafland has successfully completed the BREEAM-NL Expert Training and is therefore recognized by the DGBC as BREEAM-NL Expert New Building and Renovation. BREEAM-NL is the instrument to measure and assess integrally the sustainability of new buildings, existing buildings, areas and demolition projects.
BREEAM-NL provides insight into the sustainability score of your project. Certification with BREEAM-NL gives you insight into the actual sustainability performance of your project. This enables you to show the market what your performance is. Because BREEAM is an internationally recognised hallmark, your performance is acknowledged and appreciated by the market.
BREEAM-NL assesses sustainability in its entirety. Sustainability is not just about saving energy. Nor is it about health. BREEAM-NL assesses buildings in nine different sustainability categories.
Certification with BREEAM-NL means that you can demonstrate that your project is actually a sustainable project. Sustainable projects are popular with tenants and users. Parties are willing to pay more to be allowed to use the project. Sustainability has a value that is acknowledged.
Did you know that investing in sustainable and healthy business premises also offers opportunities for subsidies? As a building owner, with a BREEAM-NL certificate you can obtain a considerable fiscal advantage over the investment. The benefit depends on the BREEAM-NL level at which the building is certified and the year in which you submit the application.
Combining BREEAM-NL certificate with subsidies. With a view to the European Energy and Climate targets for 2020, the Dutch government is investing heavily in subsidy schemes in the field of clean and sustainable energy.
MIA: With a BREEAM-NL certificate you can apply for the Environmental Investment Deduction. EIA: Certain energy saving components of your BREEAM-NL certified building are eligible for the Energy Investment Allowance scheme. SDE+: Making investments in solar panels profitable? Then the Sustainable Energy Production Incentive Scheme is an interesting option. Depending on the type of project, the government reimburses the difference in cost price between (the relatively expensive) green and grey energy for a period of 5 to 15 years. As a result, the payback time of your investment in solar panels is considerably shorter. With a BREEAM-NL project you can reduce operational costs A BREEAM-NL certificate makes it demonstrable that it is a sustainable and high quality building. This allows you to save on operational costs. An additional investment in sustainability is recouped by a reduction in energy costs, water savings and maintenance, among other things.
In BREEAM-NL the subject of 'health' is heavily assessed. Think of climate, ventilation, light and volatile organic compounds. BREEAM-NL certified projects are therefore in general also healthy for people. The inspection by the independent Assessor and the inspection work of the commissioning manager ensure that the measures included in the Schedule of Requirements are actually implemented.
With BREEAM-NL a building is prepared for the future. In today's market, sustainability is no longer a feature. It is a necessity. Because BREEAM-NL only gives appreciation to performances that are transcends the law, it is certain that a BREEAM-NL project is better than in the market. The project is therefore prepared for the future.
Should you have the ambition to have your project comply with the BREEAM-NL guidelines, we are at your service. For more information, please feel free to contact Jordy Graafland on telephone number 06-51853014 or via jgraafland@vandenberggroep.nl.
