Zeewolde VSH

A unique distribution centre with a total of 35,000 m² warehouse space and 1.250m² office space has been built on the Productieweg in Zeewolde. VSH Fittings, a strong international player with an absolute focus on Integrated Piping Systems moved into this beautiful new distribution centre.  The height of the modern distribution centre is 14 metres and built on a plot of approximately 55,000 m². It is equipped with 34 loading docks, 3 overhead doors, an ESFR sprinkler system and 161 parking spaces. The run-up to this project is special. Together with the client, the parties have been selected to be able to implement this project properly and cost-consciously. In cooperation with the selected parties a very nice project has been realized successfully.

The challenge for all parties was the very short leadtime. Our role in Competitive Engineering helped to ensure that the deadlines were met because many decisions were made in a short period of time.

Why has Van den Berg Bouwkundigen been chosen?

Due to the close contacts with the client, for which we have previously worked on their premises in Hilversum, we have been appointed to realise the new building on the basis of Concurrent Engineering.

What is special about this project?

With the BREEAM Very Good *** certification and a very short construction time of approximately 1 year and a preparation time of approximately 0.5 years this was a very special project. Another special feature of this project is the scale of the building. When looking along the façade, it seems to disappear to one point on the horizon. Especially the logic in the construction and its design, but especially the functional approach makes the project remarkable.
